Symes Hot Springs Resort

The Symes Hot Springs is located at the Symes Hotel in the small town of Hot Springs, Montana. This destination is a rural, off-the-beaten-path getaway, yet it is easily accessible by car year-round.

This destination offers a chance for visitors to "get away from it all" as there are no telephones or televisions in the hotel rooms. Additionally, the small town has a population of just 600, and is located in a beautiful, rural area of Northwestern Montana.

History

The attractive, mission-style hotel was built in 1930, and catered to tourists seeking to experience the famed healing waters of this area.

In the early years, the hotel sported 20 baths, and on-site physician services. Today, the hotel features 31 rooms and retains 4 of the original claw-foot bathtubs that are available for use on the main floor of the hotel. Water is piped in to both the hotel and the outdoor pools from a 250 ft artesian well.

The outdoor pools are a major attraction of this year-round facility, and can be accessed by hotel guests, or by non-hotel guests for day use.

An octagon-shaped pool with water temperatures of 102-104 degrees is situated such that the water spills over from a waterfall into a larger pool below. The temperature of the larger pool is slightly cooler.

This resort is a great spot for a well-deserved vacation getaway, or for a fun outing with family and friends. It is located 75 miles north of Missoula, and 65 miles south of Kalispell.
