Turner Mountain Ski Area

"Steep, Deep & Cheap"

Turner Mountain Ski Area is a day use ski area that features great powder, challenging runs, affordable lift tickets, and short lift lines.

The mountain is open for business Friday through Sunday, on holidays, and by appointment.

Located 22 miles north of Libby, Montana, this destination features one double chair lift and 25 named runs, with most of the terrain being black diamond runs.

This ski area was built in 1961 by community volunteers. In 2001, the tow rope was replaced by the new, 120 chair, double chair lift, which was installed by volunteers.

A day lodge with food and beverage is also located on the mountain.

Although the area is mostly frequented by locals, it's a good bet for experienced skiers looking for challenging runs and excellent powder. The beautiful scenery, remote location, and affordability add to the appeal.
